Here are the top 3 stories today in Las Vegas:
- Westgate Las Vegas just created a new cocktail to show support for Ukraine. The "Ukrainian Lemon-Aid" is a lovely mix of Tito's vodka, lemonade, fresh mint and blueberries. For each drink sold, $5 of the profits will go directly towards supporting humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. Moreover, Westgate has refrained from serving any Russian made products at its restaurants or bars at this time. (News3LV)
- A man from Colorado was arrested at Harry Reid International Airport this past Monday after creating a disturbance. 24-year-old Anthony Hurtado "was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a single count of public conduct at an airport." According to reports, the situation occurred and escalated after police responded to a fight on Frontier flight 771 from Denver to Las Vegas. A status check has been set for May 4. It will determine whether or not Clark County prosecutors will file any charges against Hurtado. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
- Recently, a Las Vegas man was sentenced to six to 15 years in prison for fatally shooting a female escort who had stolen his wallet on the job. Since then, 31-year-old Kevin Osborne's defense lawyer requested for probation. However, last Friday, District Judge Tierra Jones denied the request for probation. One of her reasons for doing so was due to Osborne's past curfew violations. (KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas)
