Happy Friday, Las Vegas! Here's everything you need to know to start today off on an informed note, shall we? Here are the most important things going on today in town.
First, today's weather:
Sun through high clouds. High: 67 Low: 42.
Here are the top 3 stories in Las Vegas today:
- A 26-year-old shooting suspect was turned in by his mother. Jarvis Williams has been accused of wounding two people in a shooting that took place at Meadows Mall on Dec. 31. Since then, he has been arrested and has been incriminated with multiple charges including open murder. (FOX5 Las Vegas)
- Nurses are demanding safer working conditions. With the ongoing rise in COVID cases, many nurses and other healthcare workers have been overwhelmed and overworked. Along with that issue, they are also facing the matter of being continuously understaffed. The National Nurses United union is in full support of these Nevadan nurses and their demands. (Las Vegas Review-Journal)
- De Castroverde Law Group has finally announced the winners of its Fall 2021 Teacher Appreciation Awards. These awards celebrate the outstanding educators who excel in their profession and inspire their students. The winners receive financial support for classroom supplies and a gift card for personal use. (Nevada Business Magazine)
