Here are the top stories today in Las Vegas:
- A Las Vegas teen is dead after a tragic incident involving a suspected DUI. According to police, the teen was holding onto the side of the vehicle while skateboarding and at some point was thrown off the board and run over. Police also say the driver had been under the influence of multiple substances at the time of the accident. (News3LV)
- There might be some respite from the blazing heat. According to meteorologists at KTNV 13, the 99-plus degree temperatures will tone down by this weekend. Temperatures will dip into the upper 50s and low 60s by Saturday. (KTNV 13 Action News Las Vegas)
- As of Thursday evening, Las Vegas police are still looking for help finding a missing 16-year-old girl. Jaylese Wainwright was last seen on Wednesday near the 9900 block of Ridge Hill by S. Grand Canyon and W. Tompkins. According to police, she was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and turquoise pajama pants. (Fox 5 Las Vegas)
