- Las Vegas City Councilwoman Michele Fiore has filed to run for Nevada state treasurer. She is leaving the Nevada gubernatorial race in the upcoming election and took to Twitter to announce her run for Nevada State Treasurer on Thursday afternoon. (8 News Now)
- A 26-year-old Maywood, Illinois, man has been arrested in connection to a triple stabbing at a Las Vegas hotel. According to a news release from the Cook County Sheriff's office, Bradley Pitts was taken into custody on Wednesday after Las Vegas Metropolitan Police identified Pitts as the person who stabbed a man and two women back in January. The incident reportedly took place in the parking lot of the MGM Grand Hotel. (FOX 35)
- A local tenant facing a rent rise of $6,400 has finally found an affordable place to live, thanks to a generous news viewer who was moved by his story. In late February, "Derek" saw his rent rise from $1,495 to $7,890 a month, since there is no rent control in Nevada. However, when a FOX 5 viewer saw the story about Derek's search for a home amid Las Vegas' rental shortage, he reached out and helped him find an affordable home. (FOX 5)
