• Sheriff's office confirms cause of student's death (plumassun.org) — A 19-year-old Lovelock resident and Feather River College student has been confirmed to have died from accidental drowning at the Oakland Camp swimming hole on Spanish Creek in Plumas County. Deputies, medical crews, and bystanders tried extensive life-saving measures, and the sheriff’s office reports no sign of foul play while offering condolences to the young man’s family and friends.
