- It's official: the last diesel-fueled public bus in Reno has been retired as of this weekend. This announcement comes a full 13 years ahead of their 2035 estimated alternative-fuel busing plan. (FoxReno.com)
- Women from all over the country came to Reno last month to compete in the National Miss Curvy pageant competition. Northern Nevada was the home of two top prize-winning women. Angelina Blare from Sparks was crowned National Miss Curvy 2022 and Mary Meyers from Carson City was crowned National Ms. Curvy Elite. The pageant was created to promote a healthy body image and self-love. Meyers and Blare recently did an interview, available at the link, about what it's like to be in a pageant. (KOLO)
- Many Reno residents love to fly fish, but for some, it isn't just a hobby. Reno fire chief Dave Cochran attributes fly fishing to be part of the reason why he's able to successfully do his job.
