Here are the top three stories in Reno today:
- The City of Reno has removed decades of meeting materials from its website. The removal is part of the city moving its online meeting portal to a new system. Only those records that are required by law will be placed on the new meeting portal. Meeting videos, minutes, and meeting journals will be permanently removed. Some residents are asking the city to reconsider its decision. (This Is Reno)
- Hot August Nights will have a Jeep auction to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The vehicle is being provided by Jasper Halford. The light blue 1984 Jeep CJ7 will be auctioned off on Friday in the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Admission to the Collector Car Auction event is $20. (Reno Gazette Journal)
- The Reno Police Department has arrested a man for reportedly prowling Reno neighborhoods. Darius Horne, 27, admitted to the charges during a minor traffic violation stop. He reportedly peeped into windows in the 1400 block of E. 9th Street. The department is still investigating. (KRNV)
