Fernley Physical Therapy, Inc. is an outpatient physical therapy practice serving Fernley, Fallon and the surrounding rural communities. We have been based in Fernley since the early 1990s and pride ourselves in providing a family-like atmosphere for both our employees and our patients.
Duties include:
New Patients:
Conduct a thorough evaluation of the patient and determine the best treatment plan, using the appropriate resources available, to address the patient’s issues.
Discuss the treatment plan with the patient and set up an appointment schedule in consultation with the receptionist and Office Manager.
Current Patients:
Determine if all or part treatment plan can be delegated to a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
If applicable, instruct the PTA regarding the treatment plan and ensure that you evaluate the patient’s progress on every 7th visit, or every 21 days whichever occurs first.
Conduct the treatments as laid out in the treatment plan.
Instruct and provide supervision to the PTAs and aides/technicians when conducting treatments for patients.
Evaluate patients’ progress on an ongoing basis and adjust treatment plan accordingly.
Keep all medical records current and accurate.
Conduct a final evaluation of the patient. Prepare a home exercise plan (if required) and discuss it with the patient and/or caregiver
