Limpert is being held at the Washoe County Detention Facility. (Reno Gazette Journal) - Less than 24 hours after presenting at a city council meeting last week, the Reno finance director Deborah Lauchner was suddenly fired. According to a source, Lauchner was fired on Mar. 24 and the city manager won't comment on her departure. The firing happened the morning after the city council approved the process to issue $60 million in tax-exempt bonds to finance the city's new public safety center. Details into why Lauchner was fired are unknown. (KRNV)
- According to authorities, the remains of 18-year-old Naomi Irion were found at a gravesite in a remote part of Churchill County. Irion was last seen around 5 a.m. on Mar. 12 parked outside a Walmart store in Fernley, Nevada, about half an hour outside of Reno. She was waiting for a shuttle to take her to her job at Panasonic.
