Here are the top three stories in Reno today:

  1. The City of Reno will be waiving license fees for some small businesses. As part of a new partnership, the Biggest Little Business Partnership will give out $65,000 in grants to qualified small businesses to assist with business license renewal fees. The partnership is funded with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars. Qualifying businesses can apply now. Approved business owners will receive a waiver during the month their business license is due for renewal. (This Is Reno)
  2. Damonte Ranch has announced it will launch a new community-focused hub. The new hub, called Downtown Damonte, will be walkable and offer visitors dining, housing, office, retail, medical, recreational, and commercial opportunities. The target occupancy date is late 2024 to early 2025. (KRNV)
  3. On Tuesday, aha! announced nonstop flights to Boise From Reno-Tahoe beginning in August. The airline, powered by veteran ExpressJet Airlines, will begin nonstop service on Aug. 31, 2022 — bridging Idaho's City of Trees and the Biggest Little City with one convenient, nonstop route. The airline will offer flights to the Boise Airport (BOI) three times a week with 50-seat Embraer ERJ145 regional jets. (Nevada Business Magazine)
