Here are the top three stories in Reno today:
- The Reno Police Department seeks the community's help in identifying two credit card fraud suspects. A man and woman captured on surveillance video across multiple Reno area stores are believed to have committed roughly $20,000 in fraud over the past six months; the suspects are believed to drive a gold or tan Ford Explorer. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact RPD's non-emergency line at 775-334-2188 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900. (KOLO)
- Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with THE ROW and its inaugural La Fiesta de Mayo Festival, May 5-7! The family-friendly event, held along the mezzanine from Eldorado Resort Casino to Circus Circus Reno, will offer live entertainment as well as multiple food and drink vendors. The festivities will conclude on Saturday, May 7 with a Juanes concert at the Silver Legacy Grande Exposition Hall. Visit the link to learn more. (Roseville Today)
- A University of Nevada, Reno MBA student took home the $50,000 grand prize at the 11th annual Sontag Entrepreneurship Competition. Perm Singh won the award for his company U-Niq, a registry for physical collectibles that provides digital certificates of authenticity and ownership via blockchain technology. U-Niq also won the Dragonfly Energy Innovation Award to the tune of another $10,000. (Nevada Today)

- The Reno River Festival brings Nashville to Reno this May 7-8 with two of country music's hottest rising stars! Lindsay Ell and Ryan Griffin are slated to perform at Wingfield Park in this year's event. (Facebook)
- The Reno Firefighters Association shared additional information and photos from the Monday night structure fire near Wooster High School. The two occupants of the building, as well as two cats, were rescued and transported for care within ten minutes of the first engine arriving on the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. (Facebook)
