• Clark County approves new Animal Resource Center in southwest Las Vegas valley (8newsnow.com) — Clark County has approved a new 37,000-square-foot Animal Resource Center to be built on a nine-acre site in Spring Valley, north of Post Road and west of Jones Boulevard. When it opens, the shelter will house up to about 190 animals and expand animal control and welfare services for nearby neighborhoods, with completion targeted for winter 2028.
   

• SPONGE Unleashes 'Self Inflicted Loss' From Forthcoming Final Album ‘Recuerda Tu Muerte' (iconvsicon.com) — Rock band Sponge is releasing a new album and touring with Candlebox, with a stop scheduled at Bel-Aire Backyard in Spring Valley on October 3. Local fans can expect a set mixing their 1990s hits with darker new material from “Recuerda Tu Muerte,” which the band says captures decades of experience while keeping their raw, guitar-driven sound.
