• Project seeks input on US-50/SR89 corridor (tahoedailytribune.com) — Transportation planners are rethinking how U.S. 50 and SR 89 work from the Y to Stateline, with locals pushing for safer bike lanes, slower speeds, and better transit. Near Stateline, bike paths currently vanish, and advocates want continuous routes, school connections, and rapid transit. Draft concepts are expected by September, with an in-person open house May 21 and a survey open through May 31.
   

• Tahoe Women's Community Fund to celebrate 11 years of giving at annual Grants Gala (tahoedailytribune.com) — A major regional philanthropy event is coming right to Stateline’s 4-H Camp on May 27, where Tahoe Women’s Community Fund will award $142,500 in grants to 16 nonprofits. With only 150 tickets available, residents can enjoy food, drinks, and presentations from local organizations while celebrating 11 years and over $1 million of community giving.
