• Clark County Greenlights $90 Million Veterans Housing Community With 348 Apartments in Sunrise Manor – [your]NEWS (yournews.com) — Clark County has unanimously approved a $90 million Patriot Housing LV community in Sunrise Manor, bringing 348 affordable apartments, including 108 transitional units for homeless veterans, to the neighborhood by 2028. The project near Vegas Valley Drive and Tree Line Drive will pair low-cost housing with on-site support services, recreation amenities, security, and shuttle transportation, aiming to ease housing pressures for local veterans and their families.
   

• Toys for tickets: Pay a Las Vegas parking ticket with a toy donation (fox5vegas.com) — Las Vegas drivers with certain parking tickets issued between Oct. 1 and Nov. 13 can clear their fines by donating new, unwrapped toys instead of cash, with donations supporting homeless families. While the program is citywide, it’s especially relevant if you travel from Sunrise Manor into downtown, since toys must be delivered or shipped to the Parking Services Office on South City Parkway by mid-December.
