34 Injured After Car Crashes Into NH Restaurant
Fourteen people were taken to the hospital while 20 more were evaluated at the crash scene at the Looney Bin Bar & Grill, officials said.

LACONIA, NH — A total of 34 people are injured after a car crashed into the Looney Bin Bar & Grill restaurant in Laconia Sunday afternoon, fire officials said in a news release.
Laconia Fire Department officials arrived at the scene at around 12:50 p.m. Sunday, when they found a sedan inside the restaurant, according to officials.
Fourteen people were taken to the hospital while 20 more were evaluated on scene, officials said. Two of the people who were transported had significant lower leg injuries, and the other transports were for lacerations, bruises, and other injuries that were not life-threatening, according to officials.

"There were a lot of people inside due to it being lunchtime and a holiday weekend," Laconia Captain Chad Vaillancourt said in the news release. "The great response from our mutual aid partners allowed us to help many injured people in a short amount of time ... The building also sustained significant damage due to the impact of the car."
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, officials said.
