Amherst Woman Arrested On Charges After Merrimack Crash

Michaela D'Angelo was charged with operating under the influence-drugs, possession of a hypodermic needle after a crash on Turkey Hill Road.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local woman was arrested on drug charges after an early morning crash on Thursday in Merrimack. Officers were sent to Turkey Hill Road for a report of a crash at just after 4 a.m. When they arrived, they found a single vehicle that had crashed into a tree off the side of the road.

Michaela D'Angelo, 22, of Woodland Drive in Amherst, was the driver of the vehicle, according to Sgt. Sean McGuire of the Merrimack Police Department.

"While speaking with D'Angelo, the officer observed signs of impairment, possibly due to drugs," McGuire said. "Upon further investigation, D'Angelo was placed under arrest."

D'Angelo was charged with operating under the influence-drugs and possession of a hypodermic needle. She was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in Merrimack 9th Circuit Court on July 25, 2019.
