How To Get Your Name Off A NH Patch Arrest Or Indictment Report

Here at the New Hampshire Patch network, we report on many arrests, indictments, and crime incidents in various communities in the Granite State.

However, we also understand that not everyone is convicted of the crimes they are alleged to have committed. Others have agreed to pleas and served their time, wanting to move on with their lives, or have been found not guilty. Part of that process is removing your name from the Patch arrest log, indictment list, or story.

The processes are the same for everyone and are based on a similar method as an arrest annulment in the state of New Hampshire. The removal request requires court paperwork, ideally, the Case Summary document, which shows the charges are completely resolved.

Court documents should include the resolution of the case, along with the relevant dates and sentencing information. If your case has been placed on hold without a finding, it is not resolved until the end of that time period, when the case is closed. If you have a probationary period at the end of the sentencing or were given a suspended sentence for a certain period of time, the case has not been resolved. Please don't contact us about the removal of arrest information until the case has been completely resolved.

It is important to remember the removal request process is a courtesy and not a given in every case.
