• Town Of Amherst Alerts Applicants To Fake Town Emails Seeking Payment (patch.com) — Amherst officials are warning residents and anyone with pending town applications about scam emails posing as the town and demanding Planning Board-related payments. The town stresses it will never ask people to wire money and that real staff emails always end in '@amherstnh.gov'. Residents are urged to verify any suspicious payment requests with the Community Development Department before sending money.
