C1M Photography Academy (13 Columbia Drive, Amherst) is bringing back its Portrait Xtreme program this summer after a multi-year hiatus.
The program pairs an 8-week portrait photography course with an All Day Megashoot featuring a professional model. Students learn posing, lighting (studio and natural), session direction, portrait editing, and business pricing. The course wraps with a full day of hands-on shooting: studio work in the morning, outdoor portraits in the afternoon, with instructor coaching throughout.
Portrait photography is its own discipline. Landscapes hold still. People don't. They're watching you, reading your confidence, waiting for direction. This course builds the skills and the nerve to deliver.
The portrait course begins June 24th at 6PM. The All Day Megashoot is Saturday, August 29th at 9AM. The bundle price is $1,148, which includes both the course and the megashoot, plus a certificate of completion in Portrait Photography.
C1M Photography Academy has been teaching photography in the Amherst area for over 20 years. Class sizes are small and fill by interest, not on a fixed rotation.
