Alice Johnson and Andy Holiner perform a high-spirited blend of Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Folk Music. Accompanying themselves on piano, guitar, and a variety of percussion instruments, the duo warmly engages audiences in an interactive sharing of melody, harmony, rhythm and movement. Their culturally diverse concerts include songs from Africa, the Caribbean, Native America, Brazil & New Orleans. This concert is the 'kick-off' for the 7th year of our Sundays at 4 music series; the beginning of a two-month long series of programs for adults entitled: 'The Human Spirit: Adventures and Challenges'; and, this concert is honoring Amherst residents Vick and Nancy Bennison for their 30 years of dedicated service to the annual Friends of the Library's Book Sale.
On this special occasion, we invite you to join us in a reception for the Bennisons in the Boardman Room after the performance.
