Questions Remain in Death of Celina Cass [VIDEO]

Autopsy conducted on 11-year-old fails to produce any real answers.

An autopsy conducted Tuesday failed to determine the cause of death of 11-year-old Celina Cass, who was found submerged in a river near her home on Monday after a week-long search.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said in a press briefing Tuesday night in Concord that the case is ongoing, pending toxicology results and further investigation.

Young said that from what has been seen visually of the body -- in and out of the water -- the death is still deemed suspicious.

The presumed date of Cass's death seems to match the date she was reported missing, although no exact time has been determined, according to Young. Cass was reported missing on July 26 and was last seen the night before.

Young said investigators are still looking at suspects, and they “haven't ruled anybody in or out.” Part of any investigation involving the death of a child includes investigating surrounding sex offenders, she said.

Cass's body was found by New Hampshire Fish and Game divers late Monday morning in the Connecticut River, less than a mile from her home in West Stewartstown.

State and local law enforcement, along with the FBI and other agencies, combined efforts to search for the missing girl over the last week.
