Identity theft and cyber hacking is a growing issue that poses significant threats to business owners.
The federal Identity Theft Protection Act requires business owners to take steps to protect their customer’s personal information and failure to do so may result in fines or lawsuits. Businesses that find themselves hacked or their owner’s personal information stolen find that the time to restore their security is arduous.
However, there are methods to protect yourself.

The Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce is holding a Lunch & Learn on Protecting Your Business from Identity Theft on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Chamber office at 69 Route 101A in Amherst.
Craig Graham of LegalShield will present on methods to protect your personal and business identity. The event is free to Chamber members and $10 to nonmembers. Reservations are required – please call 673-4360 or email beth.boggis@souhegan.net. A light lunch will be served.
