Milford Man Arrested On Dunkin' Donuts Robbery Charge In Amherst

Update: Michael Farmer is accused of threatening an employee with a syringe, making off with $200. He faces charges in Milford, too.

AMHERST, NH — A Milford man was arrested Wednesday and held without bail on robbery charges in both Amherst and Milford. On Sunday, Milford police were sent to two robbery incidents in town. On Monday, the Dunkin' Donuts on Route 101A in Amherst was robbed at just before 9 p.m.

The suspect reportedly threatened a worker at the restaurant with a syringe while demanding cash, according to the InfoNH Facebook site. The man fled the store not long after. A K-9 unit as well as officers from Hollis, Merrimack, and Milford were called in to assist.

On Tuesday, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported that Michael Farmer, 27, of Milford, was a suspect in the robbery. He is accused of getting away with about $200. Police in Milford suspect him of being involved in other robberies in that community, according to WMUR-TV.

This morning, Milford police arrested Farmer on robbery charges. Amherst police also charged him with a single count of robbery. He was held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North later today.

"MPD and APD officers and detectives worked diligently on this case and to locate Farmer," Milford police noted on Facebook. "Great job was done by all."

According to previous posts on Patch, Farmer was arrested while living in Nashua on assault and stalking charges in 2017.
