Innovate marketing, locations said to be the key to the boost in booze profits.

State liquor store sales in fiscal year 2013 hit a record high of $626 million, according to press reports.

The increase was about $23 million higher than the previous year, an increase of 4 percent, which delivered about $148 million to the general fund of the state.

The best performing stores of the 77 located in the Granite State included four locations on major interstates on I-95 and I-93 in Hooksett. The two stores in Nashua, and stores in Portsmouth and Salem, were also busy locations.
