Amherst Patch received a number of responses and emails touting the shops in this week's Readers' Choice poll. was tops, and the business was a late add to the poll.

Readers were asked to weigh which stores have the best selection, prices and customer service. , featuring jewelry, accessories and gifts, opened in 2009 at 294 Route 101 in Amherst. The shop is open seven days a week.

And what's in their name? It is, the proprietor says on her website, a combination of her family members' names. P.J. for her son Patrick John, "Mac" for her daughter's and husband's initials, and William for her oldest child.
