• Proctor Academy preserves winter snow to reduce early season snowmaking (wmur.com) — Proctor Academy in Andover is testing a large “snow farming” project to save part of this winter’s snowpack for early use next ski season, cutting snowmaking costs and water use. A football-field-sized pile of snow is now insulated under special blankets, aiming to give Proctor athletes and visiting college teams earlier on-snow training while showcasing a long-term investment in sustainability.
