• Shipyard payroll shows strength over the years (nhbr.com) — Portsmouth Naval Shipyard’s civilian payroll reached $774 million in 2025, supporting a workforce that includes Barrington residents. Employment rose to 7,970, while payroll grew 15.3% from 2020. The shipyard’s overall economic impact totaled $1.48 billion, down from its 2024 peak but substantially above 2020 levels.
