13 Months After Dead Dog Found In A Bag In Manchester, Suspect Charged
Keryn Lynch, who is being held in the Hillsborough County Jail, was arrested on Wednesday on an unlawful activities charge.

MANCHESTER, NH — Nearly 13 months after finding a dead dog disposed of behind a Manchester hotel, an arrest has been made in the case.
Police in Manchester had been searching for Keryn Lynch, 38, after investigating an incident concerning a dead dog in mid-January 2022.
Police were sent to the Fairfield Inn on South Porter Street after a woman found a trash bag that appeared to have an animal inside. At the time, the woman was walking her own dog and saw a tail sticking out of a trash bag she saw on the side of the road behind the hotel. The woman then called the police.

Police investigated the incident and developed Lynch as a suspect. A warrant was issued for her arrest in February 2022.
On Wednesday, according to Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the department, Lynch was charged in absentia on a single count of unlawful activities from the Hillsborough County Jail, where she was being held on other charges.

Lynch was known to police due to crimes in multiple communities during the past 13 years.
Her legal troubles date back to 2009 when she was accused of nine forgery charges in Derry, Londonderry, and Manchester and later pleaded guilty to three of them. She was also found guilty of theft by deception in Manchester and pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property in Derry and theft in Londonderry in 2010. Lynch also pleaded guilty to an identity fraud charge in Manchester in April 2011.
In October 2014, she was accused of theft and willful concealment and pleaded guilty to the theft charge. Two and half years later, she was accused of controlled drug act and two possession of a controlled-narcotic drug charges in Barnstead. After a plea deal on one of the possession charges, two other charges were dropped. In Derry, in April 2020, she was accused of drug possession, but the charge was nolle prossed in June 2021.
Lynch also has active cases other than this one. She was accused of a felony theft charge out of Concord from December 2021 and was arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court on Thursday. Lynch also has active controlled drug, deal-possess prescription drugs, and bail jumping charges out of Manchester from December 2021 and January 2022. She is due in superior court on Friday.
