MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police have arrested five people this week connected to what they are describing as a “late night brawl” at a car meet last year in the Queen City.

After midnight on Nov. 30, 2024, police were sent to the area Holt Avenue and William Loeb Drive for a report of a group of people having a car meet. At some point during the event, a fight broke out, and someone fired a gun, Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the Manchester Police Department, said.

“As officers arrived,” she said, “several vehicles were attempting to leave the area. Police made announcements ordering them to stay and asking people to get out of their cars.”

“A bystander took a video of the incident, which showed people on the ground actively fighting,” Hamel said. “At one point, someone can be seen repeatedly striking someone with a crowbar, and then a single gunshot is heard.”

After a multi-week investigation, warrants were issued against five people this week and they were arrested on a single count of felony riot each: Matthew Patrick Johnson, 24, of Windham; Sophia Santosuosso, 23, of Windham; Omar Mahmoud Chatila, 19, of Derry; 20-year-old Kalyse Allar-Foote, 20, of Franklin; and Christopher Armstrong, 23, of Raynham, Massachusetts.

Additionally, Johnson was also charged with reckless conduct-deadly weapon, criminal threatening-deadly weapon, and criminal mischief.

Hamel said the case was still active and anyone with information was asked to call Detective Max Rahill at 603-792-5555.
