1. Bedford Sen. Ricciardi Named New England Water Works Association Legislator of the Year (patch.com) — Bedford state Sen. Denise Ricciardi has been honored as Legislator of the Year by the New England Water Works Association for her work on safe drinking water policy. Her bipartisan bill SB 443, now law, strengthens wastewater treatment oversight, protects water supplies, and is described as supporting affordable housing, bringing statewide benefits while highlighting Bedford's legislative influence.
2. New Business: Flatbread Co. to take over IHOP in Bedford; Salem restaurant gets new name (unionleader.com) — A new Flatbread Co. restaurant is slated to open in January 2027 in the former IHOP building at Bedford Highlands, joining Lowe's, Target and Pressed Cafe in the busy plaza. The piece also rounds up several other New Hampshire restaurant openings, rebrandings and closures, giving Bedford diners a sense of changing options across the state.
3. Schedule for Week 3 (unionleader.com) — Local football fans can catch Bedford on the road at Thornton Academy in Maine this Saturday at 1 p.m., one of several Week 3 matchups for New Hampshire teams. The schedule lays out Friday and Saturday kickoffs across the region, helping Bedford supporters plan where and when to cheer on their Bulldogs and follow other key high school contests.
4. Dartmouth Health Children's celebrates new playground at DHMC (thelebanontimes.com) — A Bedford family's Elliot Perry Foundation helped fund a new playground at Dartmouth Health Children's Hospital, giving young patients a place to play and decompress during treatment.
