Free Elisabeth von Trapp Concert - October 28

Elisabeth von Trapp, whose voice and style have been
compared to Judy Collins and Loreena McKennitt, will perform a free concert at The Church of Our Saviour in Milford, on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at 4 p.m.

Von Trapp, who was born and raised in Vermont, is the
granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired "The Sound of Music." She has carried on the legacy of the von Trapp Family Singers while creating her own artistic style, a blend of delicate yet
powerful sounds that’s ethereal and down to earth at the same time.

Von Trapp’s repertoire ranges from Bach to Broadway, Shubert to Sting. Gospel tunes, pop classics, and her own original compositions share space in a typical concert setting alongside early American hymns and even the
poetry of Robert Frost set to music. She has released five self-produced albums and has performed in venues throughout the world ranging from European cathedrals to Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center. Her music has been featured on National Public Radio, BBC Radio, and she has performed on television programs including ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
