Bedford High School Small Business Expo
BHS Small Business Expo on Sat. Nov. 5 from 10-noon in the BHS Gym. Free event with 35+ local businesses. Samples, coupons raffles & more.
On November 5th from 10 am - noon at the Bedford High School Gymnasium, the Bedford High School Marketing I students will be holding their second annual Small Business Expo. This event is free to the public and is a great opportunity to learn more about Bedford’s small businesses.
More than 35 small businesses in the area will be represented at this expo. Over 165 visitors stopped by last year for the raffles, samples, to learn about local businesses, and to support the Bedford High School Marketing students on their projects. Visitors attending this year will have the opportunity to learn about local businesses, be entered into a variety of raffles, and get coupons and free samples from the businesses.
“Last year we received many comments from the community about how professional and genuinely passionate students were about the business they were promoting,” said Christina Wilczewski, the Marketing teacher at Bedford High School. “I am thrilled to be showcasing Bedford’s small businesses again and allowing students this authentic marketing experience.” This project allows students to immerse themselves into real business-like situations where they must market a company’s products and services. Having people from the community stop by and learn about businesses is a great opportunity for the students to present their work and to give them a feel for what a real business expo is like.
