Bedford Little Leaguers Take Swing at Cancer

Jimmy Fund Little League Program offers young athletes the opportunity to advance their skills while promoting a great cause.

As a part of the 2012 Jimmy Fund Little League Program presented by Extra Innings, Bedford boys and girls are working both on and off the diamond to raise funds to support adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The program, in its twenty-sixth year, provides Little Leaguers of New England with the opportunity to continue to play baseball/softball after the conclusion of their regular season by participating in a local tournament and fundraising effort.

These budding players are provided the opportunity to develop their athletic skills, build self-confidence and, perhaps most importantly, help others by fundraising in their local community.
