Bedford Town Day "Be A Star" Show on BCTV

Once again this year, BCTV was present at Bedford's Old Town Day to film interviews with lots of Bedford residents who were there to enjoy the day with family members, friends, and neighbors. Most of the interviews were conducted by a new BCTV volunteer named Francesca, who had no trouble attracting scores of Bedford kids for on-camera chats, as well as scoring interviews with town leaders and people representing many of the town's most well-known organizations.

The end result of the BCTV day was a new show called "Be A Star". which begins airing today on BCTV Channel 16. The show features talks with people like Bedford Town Manager Jessie Levine, Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski, Hillsborough County Attorney Patricia LaFrance, Bedford School Board member Bill Foote, and even Bedford Patch Editor Ryan O'Connor, who was ably assisted onscreen by his young son. 

People representing many Bedford organizations stopped by to talk about their groups and their activities including reps from the BCTV Board of Directors, the Bedford Garden Club, the Bedford Historical Society, the Bedford Boosters Athletic Association, the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill, the Bedford Lions Club, the Bedford Moms Club, Bedford Off-Broadway, and the Friends of Bedford Cemetaries.

But of course the real "stars" of the show are the kids who told us a little about themselves, and related how much fun that they were having at Town Day!

"Be A Star" will be broadcast on BCTV Channel 16 through to Thursday evening October 10 on the following schedule:
Friday/Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday - 10:00 AM, 8:00 PM
Saturday/Monday/Wednesday - 2:00 PM, 7:00 PM

For those who cannot watch at those times or do not have cable access, the show can be viewed on the BCTV website at www.bedfordtv.com . Simply look for Channel 16's Video on Demand option. No doubt the kids who are on the show will want to alert their out-of-town grandparents and family members that they too can see the show!

Bedford Town Day 2013 was a great success, and Bedford's Recreation Director Jane O'Brien and her many volunteers deserve much praise for a job well done!
