Bedford Woman Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute

Krystal Mailhot, 27, of Bedford, pled guilty in United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire to conspiracy to distribute oxycodone, announced Acting United States Attorney Donald Feith in a press statement.

In the fall of 2013, law enforcement officers began an investigation of several individuals in Manchester concerning allegations that they were involved in a conspiracy to distribute oxycodone.

The investigation ultimately led to a court order authorizing the interception of wire and electronic communications over several cellular telephones used by members of the conspiracy. Intercepted communications over the telephones confirmed that several customers regularly ordered significant quantities of oxycodone pills from two members of the conspiracy, Samuel Garcia and Jennifer Nunez, which were then sold to other individuals in the Manchester area.

During the intercepted calls, investigators identified several telephone numbers that frequently called into the monitored telephones to order oxycodone. One such telephone number was used by Mailhot and another individual. The intercepted telephone calls show that from June 18, 2014, through Aug. 27, 2014, on multiple occasions, Mailhot and the other individual ordered in excess of 2,000 oxycodone pills from the Garcia and Jennifer Nunez.

Mailhot admitted upon her arrest that over a three to four month period, she purchased quantities of 30 mg oxycodone pills from the two co-conspirators which she and another then sold to other individuals.

Mailhot faces a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment. Mailhot is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 10, 2015 and was released on conditions pending sentencing. Garcia and Jennifer Nunez have pleaded guilty to charges relating to the distribution conspiracy and are awaiting sentencing.

The case was investigated by the Manchester Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Debra M. Walsh and Assistant U.S. Attorney John J. Farley.
