“Police issued a warrant for Rondon’s arrest, shortly after the investigation into the shooting was completed,” according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White. “Rondon was considered to be armed and dangerous based on the offense charged and the fugitive investigation was quickly turned over to the U.S. Marshals. This investigation went from New Hampshire to Bronx. Yesterday, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were able to locate Rondon at a relative’s residence in the 300 block of 132nd Street, where he was arrested without incident.”
Rondon was charged as a fugitive from justice by NYPD and will be held without bail pending his return to New Hampshire to face these “very serious allegations,” according to White.
