Convicted Drug Dealer Busted With Stolen Car In Manchester: Cops

Anthony Kay was arrested for stolen property, drugs, and on another federal probation warrant. He was a NH Fugitive of the Week in 2014.

MANCHESTER, NH — A Queen City man was arrested last night after allegedly being found in possession of a stolen vehicle, according to police. Anthony Kay, 49, of Manchester, was arrested on June 27, 2017, and charged with possession of a controlled drug-Gabapentin, receiving stolen property, and a federal probation warrant. An officer was flagged down by the parking lot of Belmont Hall after a woman reported that she believed her stolen car was on Belmont Street, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

The woman, from Center Barnstead, stated that earlier in the day, her Chevrolet Monte Carlo was stolen from Hooksett. Officers approached the area of the stolen vehicle and noticed a man inside. An officer then activated the cruiser’s emergency lights and pulled behind the vehicle, O'Keefe stated.

The lone occupant – Kay – was checked and allegedly had an active U.S. Marshals warrant – from a case involving the distribution of cocaine and heroin. He was also allegedly in possession of two pills. Another 20 pills were reportedly found in the vehicle later, according to O’Keefe.

Kay was arrested and held. He was arraigned in Manchester District Court this morning.

According to posts on Patch three years ago, Kay was a NH Fugitive of the Week in July 8, 2014, after being convicted of drug dealing in 2012. He was arrested in December 2014, on supervised released violations.
