UPDATE: Head-on Crash on Route 114

The crash was reported around 12:30 p.m. Saturday

UPDATE, 1:25 P.M.: Bedford Police just posted a Nixle alert saying that Route 114 has reopened to traffic in both directions.

Still no word on the extent of the injuries, if any.

UPDATE, 1:15 P.M.: Emergency medical personnel from Goffstown and Manchester have also been called in to assist at the crash scene.

The crash is described as a head-on accident with entrapment, according to emergency radio broadcasts. One person has already been removed from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life.

Bedford Police and Fire are at the scene of a serious head-on crash on Route 114.

Bedford Police posted a Nixle alert around 12:30 p.m. Saturday asking drivers to avoid the area of Route 114 between Route 101 and the Old Bedford Road overpass if at all possible due to a "major head-on accident."
