Local Entrepreneurs Opens Business Dedicated to Making a Difference in Bedford

Local entrepreneurs Melissa and Garret Janicke are fulfilling their dream of making a difference in the lives of residents in the Bedford/Manchester area by opening a BrightStar Care homecare agency. This new business will provide a range of compassionate, person-centered medical and non-medical care to people of all ages, from infants to seniors.

“Our mission is to provide the highest quality care to our clients and give peace of mind to families in need of specialized care for just about any situation imaginable,” said Melissa Janicke. “When we take on a client, we consider the needs of the entire family. Both Garret and Melissa have backgrounds in the medical industry, with Garret spending the last 10 years as an infusion specialist for a medical device manufacturer and Melissa previously working in the medical sales industry. Most recently, Melissa owned and operated a large fitness franchise facility. After moving back to New Hampshire where they are originally from, the Janickes discussed getting into the homecare industry for both personal and professional reasons. With previous experience in a franchise network, BrightStar Care had the accreditation and support system that the Janickes felt would allow them to be successful in their community.

With an official opening date of December 14, 2015, BrightStar Care of Bedford/Manchester will offer a myriad of comprehensive services that meet the highest industry standards and will work to help educate residents on the right questions to ask when searching for an in-home care provider for a loved one. In order to provide the highest standard of care possible, the Janickes have hired Kelli Foley, RN, BSN, CRNI, to be Director of Nursing. Kelli has over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business. She has extensive experience in home healthcare as well as expertise in both infusion and clinical quality oversight. The Janickes are also looking to hire an extensive caregiver bench consisting of RNs, LPNs, and LNAs in order to provide the highest standard of care and meet the diverse needs of local residents.
