Local Gymnasts Impress at Snow Storm Classic

Two talented Bedford athletes from New England Gymnastics Training Center of Hudson recently competed at the annual Snow Storm Classic, Dec. 10-11, in Portsmouth.

Those competing included gymnasts in levels 4, 5 and 6, and each girl needed a score of 31.0 or higher to qualify for the State Sectional competition.
   
Competing in level 5, Tara McGadden of Bedford placed second with an all-around score of 35.65. She earned first on bars with a 8.15, finished second on beam and floor, with scores of 9.1 and 8.9, respectively, and tied for third with an 8.5 on vault.

In level 6 competition, Aidan McGadden placed third all-around with a 35.1 score. She took fourth on vault (8.925) and on bars (8.725), and finished fifth on beam (8.6) and on floor (8.85).

The girl’s teams are coached by Tim Madore (Owner), Bea Boldu, Catie Jarvis. Ashley Neagle, Melanie Streeter and Jodi Turner.  New England Gymnastics Training Center is located at 5 Tracy Lane, off Route 102 (next to Comcast cable) on the Londonderry/Hudson town line.

The next meet will be held the weekend of Jan. 7-8.
