Man Found with Loaded Syringe in Car: Cops

Daniel Mercier of Goffstown was reportedly passed out behind the wheel of an Acura at a Queen City intersection.

MANCHESTER, NH - A local man faces drug and breach of bail charges after allegedly being found with heroin while passed out behind the wheel of a car on Saturday morning.

Daniel Mercier, 32, of Goffstown, was arrested on April 16, 2016, and charged with possession of a controlled drug (heroin) and violation of bail.

Police were called to the intersection of Gordon and Medford streets at just after 9:30 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive man inside a vehicle, according to a report.

An AMR worker reported that Mercier was allegedly passed out behind the wheel of a 2012 Acura when they arrived, with a “loaded syringe” in his lap.

The EMTs woke Mercier up as they opened the door of his vehicle. An officer then arrived and took possession of the syringe. Mercier was then charged, according to the report.

Mercier was scheduled to be arraigned this morning.

Back in January, according to a post on Patch, Mercier was reportedly found passed out in the parking lot of the La Quinta Inn and Suites on Front Street in Manchester, allegedly with heroin.
