Man Points Rifle At Others During Fight With Neighbors: Cops

Matthew Parsons was arrested in Goffstown after an alleged incident in Manchester today.

MANCHESTER, NH — A local man was arrested this afternoon after an alleged incident involving a threat against neighbors with a rifle, according to police. Matthew Parsons of Manchester was arrested on Feb. 10, 2018, and charged with felony criminal threatening. Police, at just after noon, were called to the area of West and Douglas streets for a report of two groups of neighbors arguing, according to Sgt. Richard Brennan of the Manchester Police Department.

“At one point a male subject entered his address and when he came outside, he was carrying a rifle, which he pointed at the three subjects,” Brennan alleged. “The subject went back inside the residence and then returned outside a second time, pointing the rifle at the group once again. The suspect fled the scene in his motor vehicle.”

Witnesses reportedly provided a description of the suspect which was consistent with what police learned during the investigation, Brennan reported.

The suspect – Parsons – was reportedly found in Goffstown and arrested by police there. He was then transported back to the Queen City.
