MANCHESTER, NH — A man who entered Manchester Police Headquarters with the purpose of reporting a stolen gun is facing numerous charges after being accused of displaying it and refusing to comply with police commands. Khalid Dibi, 30, of Manchester, at around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, walked into police HQ and told a counter clerk that he wanted to report a stolen gun, according to Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the Manchester Police Department. Dibi "then pulled the gun out of a bag and pointed it outward, in no particular direction," she said.

"At least a half dozen officers responded, they made verbal commands for him to surrender, when he did not comply a taser was deployed," Hamel said. "Dibi was then taken into custody."

Dibi was charged with criminal threatening, reckless conduct, and receiving stolen property charges and put on preventative detention.
