“Upon arrival, first responders found an expansive and very difficult scene,” noted Police Chief John Bryfonski.

Police determined that a Nissan Altima, allegedly driven by Chol Mabor, struck a utility pole at a high rate of speed and then went airborne. It then cleared a fence, flipped over, and landed upside down in a resident’s front lawn, according to police.

Killed in the accident was Thon A. Kuai, 36, of Manchester, who passed away. A 24-year-old Manchester woman was also injured.

Chol Mabor was arrested while being treated at Eliot Hospital after the crash. He was released from the hospital earlier this morning and is being held at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections in Manchester on $250,000 cash bail. He will be arraigned on the charges in Merrimack District Court.

The incident remains under investigation, according to Bryfonski.
