MANCHESTER, NH — A man from Manchester was convicted on 18 child rape charges in Hillsborough County Superior Court North on Thursday.
Librado Robledo, 49, of Manchester, was convicted on 15 counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault against a child and three aggravated felonious sexual assault-pattern charges, all felonies, after a three-day trial, according to Shawn Sweeney of the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office.
Sweeney said Robledo sexually assaulted a child victim repeatedly across two years, from 2015 through early 2017. He also commended the victim for providing “critical testimony detailing the assaults, including specific information about the manner, timing, and locations where the sexual assaults occurred.”
Sweeney said, “Despite facing three hours on the witness stand, the victim remained steadfast in recounting the traumatic experiences to the jury.”
The Manchester Police Department, led by Lt. Nick Georgoulis, conducted the investigation, he said. Heather Morgan, victim advocate, worked with the victim throughout the trial, and Jordan Baer was the trial team paralegal, Sweeney said.
“These convictions demonstrate our office's commitment to seeking justice for survivors of sexual assault,” Prosecutors Alexander G. Gatzoulis and Nicholas Anderson, who represented the state in this case, said. “We commend the courage of the victim in coming forward and testifying, as well as the thorough investigation conducted by the Manchester Police Department.”
Robledo will be sentenced in July.
