NH Child Care Worker Arrested on Assault Charges
Report: Chelsea Blais was arrested this morning after a three-week investigation into assault allegations at the Alpha Bits Learning Center.

MANCHESTER, NH — A Queen City woman was arrested this morning after an investigation into allegations she allegedly assaulted three children at the Alpha Bits Learning Center in Manchester, according to police. Chelsea Blais, 32, of Manchester, was arrested on March 21, 2017, on four counts of simple assault.

A detective with the Manchester Police Department Child Abuse and Sexual Exploitation Unit began an investigation into complaints on March 7, of this month, in conjunction with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. The allegation, according to Lt. Nicole Ledoux of the Manchester Police Department, was “inappropriately caring for and possibly abusing infants at the daycare.”

During the joint investigation, police identified Blais as the suspected daycare worker allegedly involving in four assaults against three children all under the age of 1-year-old.
“Alpha Bits Learning Center has been cooperative with the investigation and has worked with families and investigators to ensure the health and safety of all of the children who were in Blais’ care,” Ledoux stated. “This case remains under investigation and no further information is being released at this time.”
