• 'Inconsistent' Bishop Guertin remains Division I's only unbe... (unionleader.com) — Bedford High's football team fell behind 27-0 to Bishop Guertin before connecting on a 61-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Parker Beauchemin to Gabe Baskin in a late rally. Despite interceptions by Zach Pickett and Brycen D'Urso, Bedford couldn't catch BG, which remains Division I's only unbeaten team. Coaches still see steady improvement from Bedford's young offense.
   

• Londonderry firefighter who caught fire now recovering at home (wmur.com) — Bedford firefighters were among several area departments that rushed to help at a serious Londonderry house fire where a flashover briefly set a lieutenant's gear on fire. The firefighter, Mike England, suffered a broken leg and minor burns but is now recovering at home. All five residents escaped safely and declined medical treatment after the kitchen fire sparked the blaze.
