PELHAM, NH — A hearing scheduled for the man charged with attempted murder and assault charges in last weekend's Pelham church shooting has been postponed after reports said the man assaulted his attorney on Monday. Dale Holloway is charged in the shooting of a 75-year-old bishop and 60-year-old bride, and assault of the 60-year-old groom, during a wedding ceremony at New England Pentecostal Church on Oct. 12.

Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and Manchester Police Chief Carlo Capano released a statement Monday afternoon saying that Manchester Police are investigating an alleged assault by Holloway at the Valley Street Jail on Monday.

A new attorney will need to be appointed to Holloway, 37, after the public defender who had been representing him requested the hearing scheduled for Tuesday be pushed back for the appointment of new counsel, New England Cable News reported on Monday afternoon.
