Nashua Shooting: Juvenile Arrested, Victims Recovering

A shooting broke out in Nashua in the area of Ash Street early Wednesday, police said.

NASHUA, NH — Two people were shot in Nashua in the area of Ash Street Wednesday morning, police said.

A male juvenile was arrested in connection with the case. The victims, an adult man and an adult woman, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and released, police said.

Police did not identify the juvenile or the victims.

The shooting happened shortly before 7 a.m. near Lake Street, police said. A local hospital called police after the victims arrived with gunshot wounds. At about the same time, police received a report of a shooting in the area of Ash Street.

"An officer responding to the area of Ash Street and Lake Street encountered an individual believed to be involved," Nashua police Lt. Kerry Baxter said in a statement. "The individual, later identified as a male juvenile, was observed tampering with evidence and placed under arrest without incident."

The juvenile was charged with falsifying evidence, a felony.
