Sandown Man Arrested, Charged Following Rollover Accident: Police

Joshua Frye faces charges of driving under the influence, vehicular assault after the accident which hospitalized a passenger in the car.

BEDFORD, NH — A 2O-year-old Sandown man was arrested and charged with three criminal offenses, including vehicular assault and driving while under the influence of alcohol, following a rollover accident that left one person hospitalized on Thursday, police said.

Joshua Frye was charged following the accident, which took place at 12:20 a.m. Thursday on Route 101 near at Kilton Road, Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski said in a news release. Upon arrival, officers found that a 2015 Toyota Corolla had rolled over near the curve of the off-ramp.

A passenger in the vehicle was thrown from the car in the accident and was taken to Elliot Hospital in Manchester with serious injuries. The identity of the passenger has not been released by police. Frye was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries before he was released after being treated, police said.

Frye was booked and then released on personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court in Manchester at a later time, police said. He faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol-impairment, DUI aggravated collision with serious injury and vehicular assault.
